Anthea King is an accomplished and seasoned professional whose career spans over 20 years in fashion and beauty in New York City and now resides fulltime in Austin, TX, with her family.

In the early 2000s, she began her career working at Marie Claire, Glamour, and W magazines in the fashion departments, producing and styling photo shoots on a global scale. After a time, she began apprenticeships with world-renowned makeup artists Pat McGrath and Gucci Westman. She traveled the world to work backstage at NY, Paris, and Milan fashion shows for 10 years, honing her craft and becoming an expert in technique and product knowledge. Simultaneously, she was being represented by top agencies in NY and LA to build a reputable career in celebrity, fashion, and advertising work.

As one of the most sought-after and in-demand artists in NYC, Anthea became known for her professionalism and calm, friendly demeanor, keeping her clients loyal to her for years. To this day, she is proud to say she can consistently deliver what is expected every single time and takes extreme pride in thinking steps ahead to provide the best experience. She loves working on red carpets, with brides and bridal parties, on commercial work, and in any capacity where she can deliver the high-quality service and artistry she’s accustomed to.

In addition to her fieldwork, she’s held national makeup contracts with the Avon brands and served as an expert and Judge, testing and reviewing products for InStyle and Allure magazines for over a decade. She has also been a huge contributor to The Knot and Brides magazines, with over 20 covers to her credit. Her depth of skincare and beauty knowledge is vast, and her skills and artistry are an asset to anyone looking to hire for any kind of role.

Education is a huge passion of mine. I have had the opportunity to be the Lead Master Artist for Chanel Atelier, where I was selected to teach workshops on makeup and skincare for Members and VIP clients. I’m looking forward to teaching about techniques and colors I am passionate about and passing along my knowledge to those wanting to learn more.
